New Proposal for Dean Quarry
DEAN QUARRY
Michael Shaw, a director of Hieronymus Gruff Limited, gave a brief introduction to the new proposal to the AGM of St Keverne Parish Council on 5th May 2022.
"The proposal is for the existing planning consent for use of the site as a stone quarry to be rescinded and replaced by 54 eco-lodges, for holiday use only, which conforms to local plan policy, together with a further 2 for the sole benefit of local charitable causes. It will turn a use which damages the landscape, into one which embraces it."
There will be a public consultation on the proposals.
The purchase of Dean Quarry from the present owners is dependent on planning consent being granted.
